It’s like your best friend’s living room, with a twist of serendipity thrown in….
1900 square feet of mostly raw space, Panda has a minimal, yet warm and welcoming design by LEED-certified interior architect Holly McWhorter.
Holly McWhorter is an interior architect and product designer specializing in
environmentally sustainable design. A graduate of Parsons School of Design and
Spelman College, Holly has created green, comfortable, beautiful and practical interiors
for numerous residential and commercial clients in the New York City. She frequently collaborates with her husband, architect Bjarke Ballisager Nielsen, who contributed to the design of Panda.
For Panda, Holly designed custom benches and a bar made entirely of FSC-certified wood (harvested only from sustainably managed forests, and specified zero-VOC paints and finishes, low-energy lighting, ceiling fans to augment natural ventilation, and easily accessible recycling and composting facilities.
Holly is available for design projects large and small, and can work with nearly any size budget. She can be reached for consultation at hollymcw@gmail.com.
