About

The New Museum is New York's only museum devoted exclusively to contemporary art. The 60,000 square foot home on the Bowery will open on December 1, 2007.

In Fall 2005, the New Museum broke ground on this building by cutting-edge, Tokyo-based architects Sejima + Nishizawa/SANAA. They have designed a breathtaking facility that will feature beautifully proportioned galleries, a theater, an education floor, New Museum Store, a café, a top floor event space with roof terraces, and more.

_CIT Free Thursday Evenings take place every Thursday evening, from 7 PM to 10 PM._
