Venus over Manhattan was founded by Adam Lindemann as a curatorial platform for exhibitions and projects that expand upon the conventional gallery format through collaborations with artists, dealers, collectors, curators, and institutions. Shows will include works of art and design that range from historic to contemporary.
The gallery is located at 980 Madison Avenue, between East 76th and 77th Streets, on the third floor. Venus over Manhattan is open to the public Tuesday through Saturday from 10AM to 6PM.

A Dalí painting was stolen from Venus Over Manhattan gallery, only to be returned a week later.
Even though Venus over Manhattan is in the heart of art world bustle on Madison Avenue, the gallery sits in stark contrast to the white walls of its neighbors. The space looks more like a bomb shelter than a place for exhibiting art, which is exaggerated by the fact that its inaugural show, À Rebours (Against Nature), takes place in near-darkness.
