Located on the lower level of Chelsea Frames, an established conservation framing studio, Galerie Protégé is dedicated to exhibiting contemporary works of art in a wide range of media including but not limited to painting, drawing, photography and performance-based work.

Founded in the spring of 2011 by Jaclyn Acker and Debra Kowalski, Galerie Protégé was born of a mutual desire to offer emerging and non-represented artists an opportunity to make their mark on the New York City art world — an opportunity that was similarly extended to them by their friend and mentor Daniel Beauchemin who helped them find their niche in the big city.
