Photographer Sevil Sert, opened ARTANE, her new space in Cihangir, in 2006. This unique gallery in the centre of Istanbul acts as a bridge between Turkey and the International art world by enabling a platform in which artists of many nationalities can create and show new projects. Some of these relate to Istanbul itself, others provide never seen before perspectives.
