Small A Projects was founded by Laurel Gitlen in 2005 as a project space in Portland, OR, and the gallery has been known for its commitment to facilitating new works with emerging artists, curated exhibitions, and artist-focused publications. Since relocating to New York in 2008, the gallery has continued with a similar approach and has been building a small, but focused group of represented artists.
