The king of the multi-hyphenate, James Franco, is presenting a new performance piece at MoMA PS1 on April 7.
Those wondering what’s next after the Whitney Biennial can wonder no more—the museum’s recently released schedule of upcoming exhibitions reveals that many film and video projects will be on offer. A standout among them is German-American artist Oskar Fischinger’s multi-screen projection Raumlichtkunst (Space Light Art), first shown in Germany in 1926.
One of Farocki’s most interesting works is Deep Play, which he previously exhibited in New York City’s Greene Naftali gallery in 2008. Deep Play is a multi-channel video installation in which Farocki simultaneously projects real-time length broadcasts of the 2006 FIFA World Cup final from 12 different vantage points.
