Maarten Vanden Eynde (Belgium, 1977) is an artist who has devoted his life to exploring the mysteries of our future past and to investigating the concept of Genetology, a self-invented ‘Science of First Things’, created in opposition to the dominant science of last things or eschatology. Genetology’s main area of research is our fascination with Time and its consequences: how will we look back to the Past in the Future? What will be left over from the Present?

He is represented by Kunstruimte Wagemans in The Netherlands and Meessen De Clercq in Belgium.
