Sandra Gamarra was born in Lima in 1972 and holds a BA from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú with a Doctorate, Facultad de Arte de Cuenca, Spain. Gamarra has participated in the Biennials of Venice, São Paulo and Cuenca with group exhibitions at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA), Martin-Gropius-Bau Berlin and MoMA’s Pipe, Glass, Bottle of Rum: The Art of Appropriation. Al Mismo Tiempo marks Gamarra’s first solo museum exhibition in the United States. Gamarra lives and works in Madrid.
