Amanda Coulson
Amanda Coulson is an art critic and curator based in Frankfurt, Germany. She obtained a Master’s Degree in the History of Art at the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, during which she completed an internship at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.
After working in various galleries in New York, Paris and London, she started her critical career in Milan where she spent two years as English Language Editor of the international edition of tema celeste magazine. She currently writes for a variety of art journals, including frieze, Modern Painters, Contemporary, Lápiz, Art Review, and ARTnews.
Among her most recently curated shows are Funky Nassau: Redicovering an Identity with works by nine young artists from The Bahamas at the Nassauischer Kunstverein in Wiesbaden and Paper Cuts, a show dealing with paper used as a sculptural medium at VOGES Gallery in Frankfurt.
