The Young Collectors Committee presents a private evening of cocktails and art. This event is a terrific chance to meet other young art collectors and art enthusiasts, learn about the Henry Street Settlement’s mission and work, and view the art installation currently on display at the Abrons Arts Center. At this event you can compete in a raffle to win tickets to Henry Street’s 22nd Annual Art Show Preview, a Gala event that will be held at the Park Avenue Armory on Tuesday, March 2, 2010. Henry Street Settlement: Henry Street is a multi-faceted community-based organization that provides social services, arts programs, and health care services to Lower East Side residents and other New Yorkers. Helping low income families, survivors of domestic violence, youth, individuals with mental and physical disabilities, senior citizens, and many others, Henry Street has been an essential resource since its founding in 1893. Currently the Settlement serves 50,000 people annually.
The Art Show: Henry Street Settlement’s annual Art Show is one of the city’s most anticipated early spring events. Now in it’s 22nd year, the well-known Art Show Gala Preview, to be held at the Park Avenue Armory on Tuesday, March 2, 2010, will launch the 2010 Art Show and an entire week of city-wide arts events. Organized annually by the Art Dealers Association of America to benefit Henry Street Settlement, the Art Show is one of the most varied and exciting art fairs in the nation.
