FusionArts Museum is pleased to present re:CYCLE, a group exhibit which gives a whimsical nod to the Green Movement’s emphasis on recycling as a necessary ecological response to waste production in the 21 century.
Recycling is the third of the three R√¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s: Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. To recycle is to take an unwanted material, a product at the end of its useful life, and turn it into something useful again, often creating another product. In the case of FusionArts Museum√¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s latest exhibit the newly created products are works of multidisciplinary (or fusion) art. Each new artwork was created with the detritus of a cycle – motorcycle, bicycle, tricycle or scooter, a direct play on the show√¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢s title and subject.
This exhibit was made possible by a grant from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA), a state agency and private donations.
