New mixed media prints from Afsoon’s Fairytale Icons series that explore the complicated fantasy of happily-ever-after endings through playful tableaux, will be on view in the LTMH’s project space. Afsoon’s nomadic life – from Iran to San Francisco and now London – is reflected in work that is at once familiar and foreign. Her multi-layered pieces combine text with images, and utilize techniques that include photography and collage. She has shown internationally and her work is in the contemporary Middle Eastern collection of the British Museum.
