Coinciding with the exhibition currently on view at Aperture Gallery curated by Lyle Rexer, The Edge of Vision: Abstraction in Contemporary Photography, and the release of his book The Edge of Vision: The Rise of Abstraction in Photography, which traces the impulse towards abstraction in photography from the early days through today, Rexer will give a talk on the role of abstraction through the history of photography. Following the lecture, Lyle Rexer along with artists from the exhibition will sign copies of the book.
