Swashbuckler Sashay explores the typographic elements that are suspended on our buildings, sidewalks and shelves. As we walk, we’ll investigate architectural lettering; the embossed, the painted, the lit and the engraved. We’ll address the construction of urban signage, check out the weathered and faded remnants of crafted signs and palimpsests, and tune into the dialogues that have emerged over time given the super-impositions of signs.
