NEW YORK – White Box is pleased to present the Ouroboros Afterparty, a celebration of music and video art with proceeds to benefit our ongoing support for the arts. The Benefit includes multiple channels of video art in the street and in White Box’s gallery, Buttoh dance, aerials and interactive installations and DJs spinning late night dance grooves. Participating artists include Seth Carnes, Ali Hossaini, Hye Rim Lee, Shantell Martin, Devan Simunovich, SWEATSHOPPE, Seanna Sharpe, Vangeline Theater. Featured DJs are Smirk of Wolf + Lamb Music, Josh Doubles of Backseat Buzz, and Kimyon. Curated by Koan Jeffrey Baysa. The Benefit follows the opening of Ouroboros: The History of the Universe, an immersive 3D video installation by Ali Hossaini and Sweathshoppe at the Ise Cultural Foundation.

White Box is an internationally acclaimed non-profit art space dedicated to presenting innovative and culturally dynamic exhibitions, crossing mediums and disciplines of the visual arts, music and performance. Proceeds from the Ourboros Afterparty will help support and revamp the ongoing operations and programs of White Box in its 12th year. Ali Hossaini’s productions have been exhibited in venues such as the Lincoln Center, the American Museum of the Moving Image, Anthology Film Archives and the Montreal Festival of Film on Art. Sweatshoppe is a multimedia performance collaboration between Bruno Levy and Blake Shaw that works at the intersection of art, music and technology. Ouroboros exhibition opening March 18, 6 – 8 pm at the Ise Cultural Foundation, 555 Broadway at Prince St.
