MICHAEL GALLAGHER Sherman Fairchild Conservator in Charge of Paintings Conservation at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Worked previously at the Kimbell Art Museum, Fort Worth; the Gemaldegalerie, Berlin; and as Keeper of Conservation at the National Galleries of Scotland, 1999-2005. Conserved major works by artists including Botticelli, Cranach, La Tour, Poussin, Rubens, Van Dyck and most recently Velazquez.
