A search to define a landscape that attracts and shelters, yet later frightens and rejects.
Defining it by its minimal geometry, which does not capture one’s gaze, but rather in a subtle line on the horizon, in the color of the earth dissolved in the water… or the vibration of the light that gently weeps about what it hides in the soft texture of the plains.
The ever-present twinkling line of the horizon stands alone responding to the extremes of violence, of shelter, of lack and of abundance. The horizon is direction and certainty, beyond which an attainable reality can inevitably be found.
