Elka’s choice of weapon is her Horizontal Vertigo, a two-screen video and sound piece aided by live-image-rigged turntables, marked paper, and fabric cutouts. By continuously adjusting two high-contrast, black and white live-feed projections, she creates series of transient forms and images that destroy or build on one another. John retaliates with his Record Projection, which incorporates sculptural elements that he rearranges during his performance along with a group of projectors and record players to create outbursts of light and sound in any number of possible combinations.

With the support of a series of chances, the venue’s ambiance, and the audience’s encouragement (or lack thereof), the two opponents try to outdo one another in this highly stimulating blast of sounds, video, and light.
