Beate Sass will be discussing her photographic and oral history project about the former tenant farmers that lived on Tall Timbers Plantation in Tallahassee, Florida from the early to mid-1900’s and honors the important role their families played in the survival of the plantations after the emancipation. Accompanying Beate in her talk will be Juanita Whiddon, the archivist from Tall Timbers Research and Land Conservancy (formally Tall Timbers Plantation).
