Richard Pousette-Dart was the youngest member of the Abstract Expressionist movement. Born in 1916 in Minnesota, Pousette-Dart was raised in Westchester County, NY. After briefly attending Bard College, Pousette-Dart moved to Manhattan to pursue painting independently.
