Guild Hall Museum
closed 08/13 - 10/17/11
In this exhibition, Richard Prince, a part-time student of the East End of Long Island and the 2009 Guild Hall Lifetime Achievement Award Winner in the Visual Arts, will show a new body of work that uses appropriated imagery. This imagery is based on the series of photographs of the artist Jackson Pollock at work. Jackson Pollock was one of the leaders of the Abstract Expressionist movement, the quintessentially vanguard art movement in America.
