Albert Weis, cité / belle ville.

About this work
Aluminum, Duropal
The sculptural works of Albert Weis examine other (European) concepts and codes that were symptomatic for or characteristic of the 1950s and 60s, but which, unlike American postmodern architecture, placed people at their centre. Hence, the work cité / belleville focuses on the proportional system Modulor developed by Le Corbusier, taking this ad absurdum by making a stencil of the scale unit.
