Oakland, California is often cited as having the most artists per capita in the country outside of Brooklyn, so it’s no surprise that a project called Oakland Art Murmur, which began as a small idea to enrich and support Oakland’s artistic community, has grown to include over two hundred exhibitions (and counting) of local artists, along with presentations from curators, monthly art walks, tours, discussions, and performances.
