Have you ever tried to follow a Twitter conversation around a #hashtag and been frustrated by extraneous comments and self-promoting tweets that have nothing to do with what you’re there for? Well Creative Time is excited to try a new and improved method for a Twitter panel. We’ve made a Twitter list of panelists who will be tweeting about the launch of Creative Time Reports (@artistsreport on Twitter) using the hashtag #CTRL from 2:00-3:00 p.m. tomorrow.
Even though the panelists will be tweeting with a hashtag (#CTRL), you can cut out the outside noise by following just the panelists by going to http://bit.ly/CTRLaunch at 2:00 p.m. If you want to see what everyone else is saying, just search the hashtag #CTRL on Twitter and by all means join in the conversation by using #CTRL in your own Tweets about the site.
For one hour, I’ll be moderating a discussion with the panelists (http://bit.ly/CTRLpanelists), including “photo conceptual artist” Hank Willis Thomas, Willa Kroener (SFMOMA), Sarah Hromack (Whitney Museum of American Art), Jonathan Munar (Art21), Paul Schmelzer (Walker Art Center), and the creators of Creative Time Reports. I’ll also be retweeting the most relevant comments and questions from @creativetimeNYC and/or @artistsreport to get voices from the “audience” in the mix. Join us in this exciting experiment and let us hear your voice!
