Once again TED has the world buzzing with a video featuring what some hail as the most significant photography advancement since 1964 when MIT professor Harold Edgerton pioneered ultra-high-speed and stop-action photography. With his team at MIT’s Media Lab, Ramesh Raskar has created Femto photography, which is capable of imaging at a trillion frames per second. Creating cars that can avoid accidents, technology to look for survivors trapped in disasters, and the ability to look inside the body without an X-ray are just the beginning.
