A Photographer Reminds Us to Protect Our Skin This Summer
Georgina Wells

Photographer Frances Tulk-Hart has assembled a collection of photographs with a mission as sensible as it is stylish. In her dreamy series, the faces of beautiful, sun-kissed youth are obscured. Tulk-Hart’s playful tagline: “Protect your skin this summer by covering it with your hair, a fine layer of chiffon, or your kid sister’s Halloween mask.”

Tulk-Hart, based in New York City by way of London since 2000, worked as a stylist before segueing into photography. She has shot for Marc Jacobs, British Vogue, Glamour, and Lucky, among others, and had her first solo exhibition, Shy Sunday, in March 2010. The new summer series, full of glowing effervescence, perfectly encapsulates her free-feeling style of photography.
