Calling all New York City designers: the MoMA Design Store has just announced an open call for designers living and working in one of the five boroughs to submit their products for an exclusive collection that will launch at the store in 2013. Reflecting a desire to showcase the creativity and innovation of the city’s present artistic community, the Design Store is looking for products with an “innovative use of material and/or production methods [and] relevance to contemporary design and emerging design in NYC.” The store boasts merchandise designed by such illustrious figures as Frank Lloyd Wright, Le Corbusier, and Achille Castiglioni, and is offering seventy-five lucky winners the chance to share the same shelf space.
