In a clever twist on the art salon, Salon 94 Bowery’s group show called Pothole features ten artists who are connected in ways other than weekly get-togethers or elaborate manifestos. A few are distant admirers who follow their peers’ work online, while others are simply long-time friends who work in different cities. Pieces by David Altmejd, Joe Bradley, Dana Schutz, and Huma Bhabha are among those on view, many of which utilize unorthodox material and an expressionist sensibility.
