More than Art: Design at Basel
Manish Vora

The art world is flocking to Switzerland for Art Basel’s much-anticipated June 14 opening. Taking place across two halls (one built by Swiss architect and collector Theo Hotz and another by Hans Hoffmann), the week-long fest represents the big daddy of all art fairs. Art Basel’s American sister fair, Art Basel Miami Beach, is the largest and arguably most important art event in the country.

For those design fans out there, the famed Design Miami will again take its show to Basel for the big week. Our friends from Cultured Magazine publish a fantastic preview in conjunction with the Miami and Basel fairs, and New York gallerist and Bravo TV star Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn graces the cover of the summer edition. Her gallery/Upper East Side mansion, Salon 94, is exhibiting at Design Miami/ Basel for the first time.
