While art is often an interpretation of life, LA-based news photographer Nick Stern built one of his projects the other way around. Using human models and props sourced from eBay, Stern replicated Banksy’s most iconic stencils in an eight-piece series of photographs called You Are Not Banksy. The collection’s kissing policemen, urinating guard, bouquet-tossing gangster, and shopping-bag-adorned Jesus make for a heartfelt tribute to the British art renegade, who has not made any statements about the project.
