Anne Pasternak is the President and Artistic Director of Creative Time, the organization behind some of New York’s most ambitious and politically charged public art projects, from its AIDS advocacy in the ‘80s to Bruce High Quality Foundation’s cross-country experiment in art education reform. Since Pasternak joined in 1994, Creative Time has expanded to national and even global projects. She talks about why the organization takes on sensitive issues and why Creative Time has never censored a project.
